Los Angeles, CA, June 2025 –
Grammy Award-winning score mixer and orchestral producer Gabriel Kitinski recently installed his new AX Center Thunder | Core audio interface from industry leader DAD (Digital Audio Denmark) by NTP Technology. Kitinski’s Los Angeles based Trifecta Audio provides full sound services for TV shows, feature films, music videos and commercials.
Kitinski explains, “I integrated the AX Center system into my personal hybrid studio for testing before deploying it on location and it’s been a fantastic addition. The unit has performed flawlessly in my setup, where it’s acting as the clock master across all my other interfaces. Its routing and expansion flexibility, especially with Dante and AES, has allowed seamless integration with all of my hardware.”
The AX Center is DAD’s Thunderbolt 3 audio interface designed for music production, post-production, and other professional audio applications. It features a range of I/O options, including dual mic/instrument inputs, dual headphone/monitor outputs, and expansion slots for DAD cards. It also includes built-in monitor control, speaker EQ, and onboard summing and processing.
Kitinski and his Trifecta team have over 50 years of combined audio experience, providing equipment and design solutions for complex projects, including control rooms, multi-track setups, full ENG, and reality setups.
“The pressure can be challenging, but with DAD, I’m always confident the conversion will be optimal, so I can focus on blend and balance, and mic placements, assured that every channel is the ‘good channel’. Same with the preamps.”
Kitinski started out mixing and doing post-production audio work on feature films in the early 90’s. He has worked on virtually every production format, including long format music videos, for which he won two Grammys® for sound supervision, one for the live album “Paul McCartney – Live Kisses” and another for Madonna’s documentary film “I’m Going to Tell you a Secret.”
Kitinski concludes, “With the new DAD AX Center, that acts as an interface and router, the audio quality is pristine, latency is impressively low, and the DADman control software becomes quite intuitive and powerful once dialed in. It’s quickly becoming the backbone of my monitoring and mix capture chain. I’m particularly excited about how this will enhance our upcoming TV workflows, especially when capturing multitrack stems and handling redundant recording setups. I’m looking forward to pushing it even further in our field applications.”
